Unemployment rate in Venezuela is significantly lower than in USA
The Venezuelan employment rate in 2009 totaled 92.3%, which accounts for 12,065,593 employees, according to the National Statistics Institute.

The Venezuelan unemployment rate stood at 7.7% in April 2009, according to the National Statistics Institute ... the US Bureau of Labor Statistics supplies corresponding numbers for the job situation in the USA.

This is a tragic situation for the over 600,000 US workers who lost their jobs in April alone. But guess what the bourgeois media and economists called this situation in the USA?

A CORRECTION ... yeah, that's right, they call it a correction!

1. How is their policy on defining who is unemployed?
We all know that unemployment and other government figures are massaged to make things look better.

Is their definition of unemployed better than ours? Worse?

10. I think it's time we all admitted something to ourselves
Chavez cheerleaders, you win: Venezuela is unquestionably the greatest, most potent, most prosperous, fairest, most progressive,
and soulful civilization in the history of recorded life on the planet Earth, and until further notice is also the dominant
political, economic, and cultural society in the known Universe. The only civilization that even remotely approaches the overwhelming
greatness of Venezuela is PERHAPS North Korea, and even then only on North Korea's best imaginable day. We can only gaze southward
with a sense of resolute envy, that the United States might someday erect the traditions and institutions required to attain the
truly galactic grandeur of Venezuela. Would that we could kiss the ring of the lowliest of Venezuelans...truly, our lives as mere Americans would be blessed and worthwhile. Until that day, our American lives are aimless and devoid of value, and we hang our heads meekly, with a deep sense of shame. We are chastened by our betters. We strive to perfect our existence in the shadow of such benevolence and grace.

Happy?

11. You're just resentful because the river of blood did not flow in the streets
of Caracas last summer as you predicted. I understand. That's only human. You'll get over it.

9. They'll have a much higher standard of living than us in 5 years.
By then we'll have a 50% unemployment rate and quite a few more homeless people.
