DC Councilman wants to outlaw sales of "jumbo" pizza slices |
|
I kid you not: http://www.wtop.com/?nid=25&sid=1681850Blaming single-slice pizza sales as part of the crime problem in Adams Morgan, a D.C. councilmember is proposing a ban of the popular late-night snack in Adams Morgan.
The crowded bar and nightclub scene on 18th street has had a recent spout of violence, including a shootout that killed a man, and injured two police officers.
D.C. Councilman Jim Graham (D-Ward 1), who represents the neighborhood, tells WJLA-TV that the 'Jumbo Slice" pizza joints that populate the strip are part of the problem.:wtf:

4. Next up, pizza may only be eaten outdoors |
|
Then they will move to ban pizza from private residences.

6. Stupidity: Not just for Republicans anymore. |

I know--a Repug swapped bodies with him. Somewhere there's a Democrat wandering around in a fat pedophile's body thinking "What the fuck just happened?"

17. I went there when I was an intern in DC |

This place was integral to the memories that I have of that semester.
When I saw the headline I figured that this would be the place they were talking about.

10. One of the worst-repped parts of my town is a place called "Pizza Corner" |
|
Right in the downtown, there's an intersection where three of the corners are small pizza places. They're open late, there's bars nearby, you do the math.
Fortunately nobody around here's been stupid enough to suggest banning them as a way of dealing with that. Seriously, this one's stupid even by there-oughta-be-a-law standards.

12. I'm telling you we need to see our candidates' IQ scores |
|
before they're allowed to run.
I thought republicans had cornered the market on dumbfuck but apparently putting licensed, tax paying pizza vendors out of of business and out of a job during a recession is What Must Be Done to show we're tough on crime.
d'oh.

13. Make every candidate play one of those Brain Age games |
|
If your rep's frontal, temporal, and parietal lobes don't measure up, threaten to vote for his or her primary challenger. That'll make 'em pay more attention to that "Follow the Pencil" game.

|
http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/display.php?id=29582http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/display.php?id=26773I used to live just around the corner from these spots. I've had their slices plenty of times, and IMO they're pretty vile :)
