Democrats are in Power and yet they can't seem to get decent debate or opinionaters to go against Limpballs who compared Obama to a "giant cockroach" plus other degrading and bully talk diatribes.
Why is it that we have very mild mannered folks like David Axelrod coming out saying that the "new Judge Appointee" voted 95% with Republicans so Tweety needs to be aware that she isn't a liberal.

What is going on here? I thought we Democrats elected a president for CHANGE and even a House and Senate that would recognize the overwhelming NEED for CHANGE.

Why are our Democrats going back to Defensive Mode like they were under Tom Daschle after Stolen Election 2000?"

How can that be? What's the strategy here?

1. Obama responded to a Rush question once.
That was payday for the ass.

Rush will be a cyst on this administration for the duration.

7. The Prez is whipping him like a rented mule
and the pedophile is too stupid to pick up on it. By the time that Obama's first term is finished rush limbaugh will be nothing more than an irritant. He is well on his way to showing all to see just how ignorant he really is. IMO

10. If Rush is being "beaten like a rented mule" by Obama...why is it the cable
TeeVee that most of us see doesn't reflect that?

3. Irrational (or maybe not) fear
The fact that Bill Clinton was impeached for a blowjob is not one that Democratic politicians will ever take lightly and for many will cause them to tread too carefully around the Republicans. No one's perfect enough to stand up to the Republican defamation machine.

4. Seems that way to me too.
And, yes, WHY?!? He should be treated as the insignificant little snit that he is. He only matters to that fringe element unless the collective "we" make him matter.

5. I don't really think the Dem's are going on the defensive. I see it as Rush playing
Edited on Tue May-26-09 06:48 PM by Parker CA
perfectly into the hand of the Dem's and the Obama admin, and I imagine and have heard many GOPiggies say that it might be better if Rush wasn't so outspoken and visible. Rush just can't help his bigoted tendencies though, so at every opportunity he is coming out of his cage and pushing the dialogue into center stage, and that makes the MSM drool with interest. With the resounding silence from any 'moderate' voice in the GOP, Rush, by default, becomes the voice of their party, which in my mind is no loss to us.

With respect to Axelrod, I think he and the entire team are very aware of what they're doing and what responses their actions will elicit from their critics. He had a tough time keeping a straight face when responding to Tweety's contention that they lure Rush out on purpose.

Personally, it doesn't bother me one bit.

20. I think they're simply making the GOP look like the fools they are by way of Rush. No 3D chess.
Edited on Tue May-26-09 08:49 PM by Parker CA
Limpballs getting more face time really cannot do anything positive for the GOP and will certainly not present troubles for the Dems.

6. Who cares about Rush?
He is nothing more than a racists idiot that spews his hate every day, and every time he come out with his attacks, he makes himself look stupider every time, at least to anyone with half a brain!

His comments today were a prime example. For a racist like Rush to go after someone else for being a racist, or a "reverse" racist, will only work up his base, and that's all! Nobody else is going to believe his BS! Lowering to Rush's level is not a good plan, and not the kind of change this country needs. Obama is showing that he is above the gutter politics of Rush and the crazies on the right who follow Rush. Putting himself above that kind of politics is getting him more and more support from independents and moderate republicans who are tired of the same old crap from the likes of Rush and the other hate spewing talking heads!

12. That's what we think...but then we dismissed him long ago. Why does he get more air time now?
 The "new head of the Repug Party" is what our Dems tell us and they want us to think that Dems have a "Strategy" to "take him down on his own sword," ...yet Cheney is out there dissing Obama as the "President in Absentia" and Limbaugh is getting huge airtime and we get weenie folks like Axelrod telling us Obama is appointing a Judge with a 95% voting record with Republicans to the Supreme Court.

Tweety was thrilled.

Who's getting the wrong message here...Dems or Repugs?

11. Welcome it; relish it. It is the best possible thing right now.
Every time Rush Limbaugh opens his pie hole, a kitten and a puppy are adopted, flowers bloom where piles of bullshit used to stand, and polls show that Republican popularity is equivalent to that of smallpox.

When your enemy is self-destructing, you just stand back and watch.

It is a thing of beauty. If the Republicans keep this up, the 2010 elections will sink the Republicans in Congress to around 35%.

Rope-a-dope.
