Fox talker Peters has a Gitmo solution: Just kill them all
http://crooksandliars.com/node/28471

Do the words "ultimate solution" come to mind?

This is really sick.

2. He also advocates military strikes on "partisan" media:
Wishful Thinking and Indecisive Wars - Ralph Peters

<snip>

"Pretending to be impartial, the self-segregating personalities drawn to media careers overwhelmingly take a side, and that side is rarely ours. Although it seems unthinkable now, future wars may require censorship, news blackouts and, ultimately, military attacks on the partisan media."

3. Bad enough he said that. What's worse is the deafening silence of the audience.

4. FINAL solution, but that is exactly
how the radical right feels... just that most don't say it.

5. See, now, I don't think we should. So the truth must like somewhere in the middle!

7. This is the same knucklehead who said Obama planned to give pirates "a bailout"
http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/right-wingers-who-hit-president-pant <== full on idiocy here

When the White House maintained an operational silence before taking out the pirates, Col Einstein here figured Obama was indecisive and simply "hadn't studied" in how to run a military operation. :banghead:

First off, what caliber of colonel doesn't understand the difference between a military operation and a small scale commando action like what was involved with the pirate hostage situation?

8. I guess Col. Peter's missed that class on the Geneva Convention
When I went to Officer Basic Course, we all had blocks of instruction on the basics of the law of war. Looks like the colonel missed that day.

10. The Soviets under Stalin had to execute 500 innocent ...
victims to avoid bringing their secret police into public disrepute.

I have been waiting to see how long it would be before one of our own "patriots" came to the same conclusion.

11. I don't really get why jihadists are considered terrorist activities.
They are fighting for their religious beliefs. A majority of them aren't committing acts of terror.

They really honestly believe that what they are doing is right in the name of god.

A true terrorist is someone like Bush or Cheney. They purposely exploit a person or peoples fears and vulnerabilities for political, economic or social gain. That is true terrorism in my book.

13. I was posting on a bizarre posting here where people were defending
the idea of indefinite detention because "it's complex" and "what else can we do with them?". I suggested (not truly) that maybe we should kill them since it would be a less messy solution, since they are clearly just political footballs rather than humans.

Nobody took the bait, though the whole conversation was bizarre to the nth degree.
