I think its time to just forget explaining things to republicans |
|
"she didn't mean this"
"you're taking it out of context."
"thats not what she meant."
I think its time to just flat out tell republicans, and stop acting like we need to explain ourselves, when it comes to sonia sotomayor
"fuck you, she's getting confirmed, deal with it."
elections have consequences.

2. if a dog shits in the dining room |
|
do you reward it with a treat?
NO!
you slap it on the ass and tell it NO! and rub its nose in it.
actually, that would make dog's better than republicans. you can teach a dog. you can't even house break a republican.

11. Actually, that's not the way to deal with a dog. |
|
Doing that confuses them and makes them frightened and angry, like Republicans. Dogs, again like Republicans, have limited short and long term memory, and are pretty much unaware of shitting in the dining room unless you catch them in the act, which is hard to do.
The way to keep a dog from shitting in the dining room is to take it out for walks, far more often than you want to. And, of course, you can try to keep it out of the dining room.
That's what we're doing right now. The dog shit all over the dining room, and we kicked it the hell out of the dining room.
Now we're gonna drag the little bastard for a walk. The dog can shit all it wants along the walk. But it's our walk, not the dog's.

7. Yeah, but I was commenting on the explainer. Why bother explaining, because |
|
neither will understand. Although the dog will pick up commands faster and empathize WAY more.

10. It's like showing a dog a card trick |
|
Completely useless.
Though I think it's nice, as I watch the major media coverage of the Sotomayor nomination, that all these outlets are providing lots of air time to poor, down-trodden folks who wouldn't otherwise be able to get their opinions aired all across the nation. Folks whose voices are so stifled that most people practically forget they even exist. I'm speaking, of course, of Rush Limbaugh.

12. I'm so fucking tired of hearing about 'activist judges' I can't stand it! |
|
What a tired and stupid meme. Yeah, sue me, but I WANT a judge who, you know, thinks and interprets. Not one who sits on the bench like a lump and does the bidding of the Federalist Society or Opus Dei.
