Help me coin a term. Mole/shill |
|
It's a combination of a mole and a shill. Shole, maybe? I'm talking about a person or persons who will take over an H.O.A. and who have a hidden agenda which is in line with what community "leaders" in the chamber of commerce or the city or a larger H.O.A. may want, though it might not be what was intended in the Association charter. In fact, the decisions he's making, or the information he's hiding from the homeowners, are not in the members best interest - in the long run.
What's in it for the shole? Probably the ability/facility to adversely possess land around him. His network might be so good that he might have someone in the property appraiser's office who can facilitate a change of the plat on the internet pages so that new homeowners are never even aware that an easement line has been removed from the original plat without having a proper replat to back it up.
Shole. What do you think?

hmm,it's been done.
Your "shole" may be exactly the right word.. reminds me of "*ss hole", which seems to kinda fit Your described scenario;}

2. I thought that it sound like "asshole" was a definite plus. |

Not sure how you come up with "making a mountain out of ..." Things can go terribly wrong when sholes take over. Poor development decisions that allowed the developer to cut corners can cost homeowners thousands of dollars in assessment fees to fix it.

mole/shill working to make a million off of others whose interests he is *supposed* to have at the center of his work? Fits many in the Bush Admin. Puts the profit motive up front.

34 years ago, not to buy property in a subdivision controlled by a home owners association. Don't like the idea that other property owners can control what you do with your property. I accept zoning regulations as being for the the greater good.
I have an RV TT in my driveway and had a neighbor tell me it was against the zoning of the subdivision to put a trailer on the lot. I told him it was a licensed vehicle and to take the matter to the zoning board. Never heard another thing about it. Homeowners associations have been known to outlaw having a RV parked in your driveway.

Imagine the guy who won't follow any of the board regulations when he's not on the board, but once he's on the board, he and his cabal group take over and use the power of the board to pursue their adverse possession agenda.
And no one can touch them because of the good ole boy network that exists locally. They're schmoles, schmills and generally not nice people.
