21 people ambushed, killed in same market where McCain did some strolling and said that it was safe
A newborn baby was one of at least 14 children and adults killed when a suicide bomber detonated a lorry laden with explosives close to a primary school in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk yesterday.

The latest massacre of Iraqi children came as 21 Shia market workers were ambushed, bound and shot dead north of the capital. The victims came from the Baghdad market visited the previous day by John McCain, the US presidential candidate, who said that an American security plan in the capital was starting to show signs of progress.

2. I'd be willing to bet my life that was done intentionally to prove a point
The point being that the gov't of Iraq has practically no control over Iraq and that our troops' presence there is merely gaining more and more money for The Beast and its handlers.

3. Of course McCain was "safe" he had 100 troops protecting him, and
a black-hawk and you know they cleared it before he went in. Disinformation is the rights middle name.

5. Too bad they couldn't afford the same security as a United States Senator
This should be front page news and all over the talking heads shows. But I doubt it will get a mention on the All Bush Channel or Crappy News Network.

7. It was safe until he went there for his photo op.
Well safe is a relative term in Iraq. It had been bombed twice before but I'm sure that this attack was in response to the McCain photo op.

8. I read that they even blocked the streets off.
Makes one think of Bush and his trips over seas. I read in Germany that the Germans had to take the traffic on the rivers down while he was near the town the river was in. It is sort if funny in a sad way. I had a friend who had her picture taken with Al Gore right in the Middle of Congress Sq. in Portsmouth NH with one big mob of people. Now no one is safe if the are an Am. any place.

11. More blood on McCain's and Graham's filthy hands. Keith Olbermann interviewed Larry Johnson
yesterday, who said that McCain probaby made that market a target, especially for the sellers who cooperated with McCain and Graham. Considering them collaboraters. After the interview, Keith reported this incident. I don't think Johnson was aware that it had already happened.

12. To think that a newborn had to die because of a photo op
We have no idea of the pain and suffering or generational devestation we are causing.

I weep for every mother and father in Iraq.

14. recommended - at least some of the merchants got to speak their minds
what a travesty. I wonder if the girl who just left, Bush's top Iraq strategist, was the gal who whipped this fiasco up.
