Pittsburgh Pharmacist Accused Of Having Explosives, Bomb Materials

PITTSBURGH -- A hearing for a Pittsburgh pharmacist accused of stockpiling bomb-making materials was postponed Wednesday, but the criminal complaint explains more details of Raymond Zareck's arrest and the case against him. snip

Officers said they spotted what they believed to be a live bomb, described as "a green braided cord with a fuse sticking out from the center console" of Zareck's car, according to the criminal complaint.

Later, police removed bags full of evidence from Zareck's home on Parkview Avenue. The complaint said the seized items included explosives, a shotgun, ammunition, drugs, chemicals to make bombs and recipes to put bombs together.

The items were scattered around Zareck's Oakland home, and many of the explosives were similar to dynamite, according to the criminal complaint.
