B: North Korea experiences unusual seismic activity. US officials attempt to check for the tell-tale signs of an underground nuclear test, but are denied first by the weather, then by the North Korean government when it launches more missilesNew York Times

C: Myanmar allows journalists and diplomats to observe Aung San Suu Kyi, leader of Burma's National League for Democracy, as she attends their latest trial against her.

D: California's Playtime governor threatens to go "full Norquist" by selling off state assets and laying off thousands of workers as the fifth largest economy spirals deeper into a recession under his "governorship"

E: Texas denies creationist a seat on the state Education Board

Obama's SCOTUS pick wasn't a seismic event... the worst he was going to do was pick a centrist.
