Bush shows off lameduck feathers
http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2007/04/bush_shows_off_.html

For President Bush, being in the politically weakened position he found himself in after last year's congressional elections, on top of being a lame duck, means being challenged seemingly at every turn.

He finds himself now in a vicious loop that just reinforces perceptions of his weakness.

The cycle goes like this: Because of his dwindling power, lawmakers, and not just Democrats but especially Democrats, are willing to take him on.

This causes the president to try to publicly assert his influence or what's left of it.

When lawmakers blow him off, that just adds to the increasing perception of Bush's growing impotence. Which then leads to more challenges.

The latest example of this is the situation surrounding House Speaker Nancy Pelosi meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad against Bush's wishes.

1. Yeah, I remember when
..after 9/11 90% of the country was behind the warmonkey. I was in that 10% cause I knew he was a big impotent fake.

As if someone of Nancy Pelosi's calibre would listen to a flatulent monkey's ass.

2. and whenever he repeats "the lesson of 9/11" crap (yesterday

3. bush probably hasn't learned that lesson
which is don't let something like that happen because you want to be a war president because six years later you'll be in a septic tank of your own making.
