As Operation Rescue's dark side comes to light once again, let's not forget Sean Hannity

and his ongoing love affair with Randall Terry:

"But that didn’t stop Sean Hannity from promoting the Republican base meme that Barack Obama “palled around with “terrorist” Bill Ayers. Randall Terry, however, has been convicted on a number of occasions as a result of his attempts to interfere with the operation of women’s clinics and the women who access them. He settled out of court with NOW as a result of damages that his followers inflicted on these clinics. He was recently arrested for violating a no trespassing order issued by the University of Notre Dame as part of his ongoing campaign to make abortion illegal. And during his halcyon days of anti abortion thuggery he was very close to James Kopp who was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a doctor who performed abortions. But these unsavory facts don’t seem to be a problem for Sean Hannity who allowed Terry, during the Terri Schiavo “circus” that Terry organized, a platform from which to spout his rhetoric. Terry has promised that the Notre Dame graduation will be turned into another “circus” and Sean Hannity gave him yet another platform on Friday night’s “Hannity” show."

(Note that Operation Rescue isn't mentioned in Terry's intro. Also note that Hannity's original guest was supposed to be nutcase Alan Keyes, who, around this time, claimed Obama was planning to stage a terror attack in order to seize power through military rule. Keyes also claimed prior to this program that Obama isn't really an American citizen...blah, blah, blah - you know the rest. But that's no problem for Hannity. He still wanted to book him! Hilariously, Alan was arrested prior to taping.)

4. I once got Randall Terry to stop shouting into his bullhorn.

I was in the DC march for abortion rights in the late eighties and he was shouting from bleachers on the side. I was carrying a large wooden cross with an upside down uncoiled wire clothes hanger nailed to it with red paint. He was caught by surprise and literally stopped shouting mid-sentence.
