If a tree falls in the forest...
If MSNBC and CNN and the rest of them, even on DU, did not report every fart coming out of the lard, i.e - Rush - would he had exerted that much influence on the Republican party? On our political discussion?

I happened to catch some of Andrea Mitchell show, and she wanted Buchanan to comment on something that Rush said and I was thinking: who cares what he said? But, of course, he got all those news reports and bloggers to dance to his beat.

4. He did sub for the short lived "Pat Sajak Show" once...
He got called out by audience members. He can't take a real audience. It was incredibly entertaining...

I hope that little black lady who would not "sit down and shut up" wherever she is knows she's on my hero list.

5. What happened was ...
... Roger Ailes propped him up for four years until the ratings sucked so badly even he couldn't keep him on TV.

3. I remember that.
About 1995 or so, right? Rush was stealing from Letterman, sarcastically blowing kisses at the camera, then thumping it on the side. It really didn't work; his appeal was not broad at all. I watched a few bits but ended up bewildered as to why he has fans.
