We send them overseas to get shot at
with assault weapons and now they have to dodge the same bullets on American streets.

Army Recruiter Is Fatally Shot

A suspect in the shooting was arrested minutes later a short distance from the recruiting station, which is in a bustling suburban shopping center, by officers relying on a description of the vehicle, a black sport utility vehicle, provided by several witnesses. An assault weapon was taken from the S.U.V., a police spokesman said.

The gun group will tell you that assault weapons are very seldom used in crimes. I know of at least 40 deaths since March of this year where assault weapons were used. All it takes is to do a litle research to see the use of these weapons is on the rise, only the blind could deny that. Check back, watch them deny it.

1. Wrong Vulture..
the weapons used by combatants are machine guns. AK (as are stoner based rifles, rest of rifles used in arsenals)family is a fully automatic weapon. That means you dont know what the fuck you are talking about and have SHITTY bad taste in using a warm corpse to pimp your position.

They are less common than stabbings.

List your link to the 40 deaths please.

here are mine, they say you are ignant.

3. this michaelharris guy
Edited on Mon Jun-01-09 05:14 PM by paulsby
is the same guy who tried to claim that carrying on college campuses in WA state was illegal.

he was repeatedly schooled (pun intended) on the law in WA state, but simply refused to admit he was wrong.

iow, after recognizing his name, i realize that he's not interested in facts.

fwiw, i carried on the UW campus a couple of days ago - LEGALLY.

cause it aint against the law.

some people, on the internet, simply will never admit they are wrong, and never acknowledge facts that run contrary to their dogma.

it's a sign of immaturity, and a warning not to waste your time

2. get your facts right
it's not the "gun groups" that say that, except when they are quoting the JUSTICE DEPT. statistics, which say that.

so whose data is better? the justice dept, which collates data from all homicides nationwide, or your anecdotal vague statement about "at least 40"

<3% of all homicides are committed with long guns, period. and only a fraction of long guns have the largely cosmetic differences that make them "assault weapons"

i have been a police officer for 20 yrs, and my experience matches the dept. of justice stats.

they are very rarely used in crime, let alone homicides.

6. You know of 40 deaths?...
is this personal knowledge and can you post a link or links?

How to you define "assault weapons"? Some people have extended the definition to any semi-auto firearm including handguns.

Is this an assault weapon?

Colt Ar-15 semi-auto rifle

Is this an assault weapon?

Glock 19 semi-auto pistol

If you answered yes to both questions, I might believe your statistics.
