Why don't tea partiers protest THIS?
The tea parties, unfocused as they are, supposedly car about government spending. Why don't they protest these?

Nearly $9 billion of money spent on Iraqi reconstruction is unaccounted for
http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5ieRhHYX-NosV0VEguc06fs15a4Jg

14 billion for one control tower in a field in Iraq for only two helicopters
http://www.c-spanarchives.org/congress/?q=node/77531&id=8969203

Another billion in equipment missing
www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/12/06/iraq/main3584247.shtml

And why aren't the tea baggers celebrating a president trying to do something about it?

Obama signs new law to fight mililtary rip-offs and waste

I think we know the answer, but feel free to submit your own.....

1. Because none of those causes gets Obama thrown out of office.
That is the most important thing to the Christian White God-fearing people of the teabagging movement.

2. Because they confuse defense spending with being strong on national security issues.
It's easy to spend money. But if I blew twenty grand on guns and neat-o tactical accessories, that in and of itself wouldn't make me prepared for an attack or an emergency.

12. That's the whole thing in a nutshell. Those "tea parties" were the usual sort of
right-wing activism. Funded and organized from the top-down.

11. These things should be posted on the conservative websites.
Maybe it's time I started going over to those places and posting things like this.

I can easily see this as a great way of activating the right to do what is actually right. Sort of a Colbert posting. Stir them up to do stuff that is meaningful.

14. If you can recommend a conservative website that is sane, I'll do it.
The ones I can think of are all nuts. Free Republic, Little Green Footballs, etc.

It's something small "c" (fiscal) conservatives should agree on (but the breed is almost extinct since the Reagan revolution)
