bush made an inquiry about the Kennedy investigation, and Hoover wrote in the margins - George Bush of the CIA.

I love this story, quoted in Wikipedia (I know, but it's in lots of other places, too...check it out, if you like)

It is known that Bush ........at 1:45 pm on the day of the assassination (which occurred at 12:30 pm) made a telephone call from Tyler, Texas, 70 miles east of Dallas. He claimed a student at the University of Houston named James Parrott had said he wished to kill Kennedy when Kennedy made his visit to Houston, although that had taken place the day before without incident.

According to the San Francisco Examiner, Bush's press office in August, 1988 first said that Bush had not made any such call, and challenged the authenticity of the FBI documents. Several days later Bush's spokesman said that the candidate "does not recall" placing the call.

Bush denies knowing exactly where he was on the day of the assassination.

he doesn't recall making a call an HOUR AFTER Kennedy was killed in which he recounts the story of a person who said he wanted to KILL HIM??????

AND....he doesn't remember WHERE HE WAS when he made the call???????

and nobody has EVER followed up on this?

can you imagine what they'd done to Clinton, Gore, or Kerry if they'd made a series of statements like that?
