A dog-loving inventor has created a device which will bring a smile to doggie dentists.
Tim Saciri has developed a canine bite guard, which covers the dog's front teeth, and prevents them from biting

Unlike a muzzle, the flexible plastic guard lets potentially dangerous dogs open and close their mouths and play around as they would normally.

Camino the Rotweiler is unable to clamp down his front teeth with the guard

But it stops them from clamping their teeth down on their victims.
Mr Saciri's device works in the same way as a mouth guard for humans, which stop people grinding their teeth at night.

I don't worry much about the incisors. It's the damned fangs that do the damage.

6. i wonder if
we will eventually be able to use devices like these to fix really awful malocclusions? something like this might work to realign poor bites, esp on those little over-bred yappers...

9. Well if they don't sell for the biting concept he can invent Bacon Flavored Dog Tooth Whitener.
The dog may still bite you but you'll see them coming.
