British far-right party wins first EU parliament seat
Mon, Jun 08, 2009

AFP

LONDON- The far-right British National Party won its first seat in the European Parliament, in results of EU-wide elections announced in Yorkshire, northern England on Sunday.

The party, which pledges the need for "British jobs for British workers", and warns that low-wage Muslim Turkish workers threaten to "swamp Britain", came fourth in the Yorkshire and Humberside region, winning one seat.

"It is a sad moment," said health minister Andrew Burnham, but vowed it would "redouble our determination to take them on and take them out of British politics".

1. I prefer my solution...
It involves lethal injection and employers who use illegal immigrants to get around labour laws. These people are victims, not villains.

4. I am furious.
This is a national disgrace. Labour ran on "anti terror", ID cards, "Anti Immigration", Gordon Brown even gave them their campaign slogan.

DISGUSTING.

This is not a British thing. This is because of the awful PR system in use that led to the Greens getting a much higher vote than the Nazi scum bigots, but not more seats.

7. They were looking for one seat they got two.
Labour voters in the areas they got elected switched straight from Labour to the BNP. In part because this NeoCon prostitution of Labour played every Nazi wolf whistle going.

WTF did they expect?

They even had similar leaflets.

6. scarier still...the Nazi party started as a minority party in the German parliament...
and gained power with their anti semitic rants as the economy became more chaotic. It isn't just England, either. Far Right parties in other countries have also gained footing in the EU. This is one of the draw backs of a parliamentary system.

The BNP are nothing more than Skinheads in suits.

8. These are not "far right"
It is simplistic to say that they are far right as the Nazis were not "far right". They were (and are) extreme Authoritarians. Most of the Catholic Parties would have nothing to do with these bunch of dirty bigot Nazi scum.

(PS - a bit peeved)
