Thanks for not letting up on the anti-choice terrorists. Roeder and his accomplices must be shaking in their boots.

1. Well the Republicans have lost all arguments on the economy and regulation |
|
And taxation, and national security, most of their platform has been shown to be smoke and mirrors. Even what they said they stood for, was really just funneling money to a few people that think they can fly off to Dubai when things get to uncomfortable for them.
But they have two issues that can stir up emotional issues and create some support for them.
Abortion, and gays. It is about the only solid hold they have on a social segment that can get that segment to vote against their own issues. The whole topic of abortion being a partisan issue is because of deception. Most Republicans don't know it, but the recent Republicans (that are actually money elitist), are not against abortions, since it lowers the birth rate of what they think of as lesser people. They just use the issue to get votes.
So they are not shaking, they are celebrating as their vote getting issue is being discussed. But of course those like Roeder are wrong in the head by not understanding the hypocrisy of their violence.
However if the issues are discussed including the values that people agree on, helping reduce unwanted pregnancies. Having support systems for pregnant women that do not have health care. And even reproductive education. Then their can be progress without polarization. Same thing on Gay marriage issue, if it is discussed as a equal rights issue, and not the polarizing choice of discussion on how people view it as right or wrong morally, it can be less polarizing.

have understood by now, after 8 years of the Shrub at the helm and 6 years of Republithugs having the majority in Congress, that their precious single-issue anti-choice campaign is never going to end abortions in the U.S. The right had the opportunity of a lifetime to shove whatever they wanted through Congress and have the pres sign it during those years, and it didn't happen--wasn't even discussed, to my knowledge, and the gays aren't going away anytime soon. You'd think they'd catch on by now that they've just been used by the Bushes and the Repub party all along.
