Minnesota Senate race - when is a ruling expected? |
|
I know the court heard final arguments last week. Anyone suggesting when they might make a ruling? It is long past time to seat Senator Al Franken and was hoping the court has given an indication when they might rule.
Also, has there been some talk that Coleman will not pursue this any further on the federal level. Don't know if I imagine that or if it was actually reported on by a news outlet.
Anybody got a clue?

but I wouldn't be the least surprised if Coleman takes this all the way to SCOTUS. IT's all about keeping the Democrats from getting to 60 by any means necessary and if that means dragging this out for another year that's what they will do.

2. Nobody knows for sure, but it should not be long. |

Every expert I have heard on MN Public Radio has said they are sure that the court will rule in favor of Franken. The U.S. Senate makes the rules on who should be seated as a senator and so Coleman can appeal it to SCOTUS and that will not stop Franken from being seated. Also, the same experts are sure that SCOTUS will not even hear the case so we can stop the handwringing.
