June 9, 2009 by Healthcare-NOW!


The Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee of the House Education & Labor Committee will hold a hearing titled “Examining the Single Payer Health Care Option” this Wednesday, June 10th at 10:30 am in 2175 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.

For those of you who would like to attend in person and can make the trip to Washington, D.C., hearings are open to the public. Just make sure you get there early, so you get a seat.

1. Any idea of who will actually be allowed to participate? Or will it be
all the insurance companies, pharmaceuticals and the Heritage Foundation like on Senator Baucus's Finance committee. Will there be actual representatives from the single payer side of the debate, the representatives of the doctors, nurses and patients? Why do I feel this hearing won't be any more than a token white wash so they can say, they did it.

5. It won't matter
We Are Not Getting Sinle Payer Health Care. Never were, probably never will. The best we can get is a public option that will be adjusted over the years as they figure out the economics and how to let rich people have a doctor without having to observe the riff-raff.
