Damn! The Brits and Iranians are making us look stupid... |
|
again. It's not that hard to do, really, with this crew in charge.
Not that the Blair government will go down as one of the high points in British foreign policy, but in spite of our interference they managed to get their people out. Their people, who were not sent to secret dungeons around the world or waterboarded.
And what of those Iranians we secreted away who may or may not be diplomats? Who are the bad guys now?
This brings back memories of the Chinese downing our plane that may or may not have been spying within their borders. All that screaming and yelling we heard about how horrible our airmen's treatment was, and it turns out they were put up in some nice digs and eating the best Kung Po chicken they ever had before they were sent back to us. Without the plane, of course.
It figures the assholes running the show here will never learn.

maybe since Babs conceived the little shit back in the 40s. I wanted to insert a riff on her "beautiful mind" there, but it was too disgusting. Just like the sea hag of kennebunkport and her dimwitted spawn.

8. Well, yeah, you're right |

I might even go back further in time to when the little dirtbag even declared his candidacy. But whatever. It's pretty much been a downhill slope from the very instant he appeared on the scene. The Chinese spy plane incident was just the first major embarrassing and tragic international snafu of his misbegotten administration.

I was a little kid during the heyday of TV detective shows in the 70s...I remember even then thinking that the morbidly obese Cannon was perhaps the most absurd private eye of them all. Jim Rockford was the best. But you have to give William Conrad mad props for narrating Rocky & Bullwinkle.

11. Thanks for that. I loved those 70s detective shows. |

They just don't make them like that anymore. Veronica Mars is about as close as it gets.
Cannon is one of my favorites. They showed reruns a few years on a local station and it's still terrific entertainment. Morbidly obese as he was, Cannon's karate moves and his giant car phone were undeniably cool.

The embarrassment of last year's G8 is still so fresh. Bush chewing his roll like a cow with a cud and cussing about Hezbollah to Tony Blair. Then the rocket scientist came up with this gem:
"You eight hours? Me, too. Russia’s a big country and you’re a big country," Bush said, at one point telling a waiter he wanted Diet Coke. "Takes him eight hours to fly home. Russia’s big and so is China. Yeah Blair, what’re you doing? Are you leaving." :eyes:

6. We don't just look stupid. |

We are stupid. We elected George W Bush to 2 terms. And yes I know the elections were dubious but they shouldn't have even been close either time. The only way they could steal the elections was because they were so close. Even after the last 6 years he still has 30% or more of the populace supporting him and another 10% or 15% that opposes him for just the opposite of what you or I oppose him for. So it goes much deeper than looks.

9. We Did NOT Elect George Bush |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-05-07 11:46 AM by stirlingsliver
It is really not at all correct to say that we elected George Bush to 2 terms.
In 2000, the Supreme Court usurped the voters of Florida (and ultimately, all the voters of the US) and appointed Bush.
In 2004, massive voter fraud in Ohio caused Bush to be certified as the winner (even though he truly lost).
The ONLY reason We are stupid is that We put up with both of these tyrannical outrages, and, instead of rising up, simply sat back.

the thievery couldn't have happened if the vote hadn't been so close on it's own. It still boggles my beautiful mind that so many people could look at this assclown and not just think "well, he represents my views better than the other guy" but rather "Damn! This man is the greatest leader the world has ever known!"
