Ever since NBC bought the WC, they've jumped on the History/Discovery/Nat Geo band wagon of trying to scare the people shitless about stuff we can't do anything about...
The WC's shows are just cheesey...
No weather on the 8's during the day now...

I quit watching it because it was always reporting on some horrible weather event and then you contact the people in that area and everything is snug as a bug. Probably part of the reason some people in New Orleans paid no attention, Weather Channel is always crying wolf.
