It takes seconds of googling (and not much jogging of the memory) to dig up the evidence. I have a friend who's lived in Wasilla for years (she's a pilot for a shipping company)--Sarah is well known as someone who will campaign against *anyone* she considers an enemy and has NO PROBLEM making up lies and half-truths, repeating them again and again until people believe that they are actually true. She's done this ever since she was first elected mayor and has only become worse.

So this little vendetta she's waging against Letterman should be of no surprise to anyone. She doesn't give a damn about the truth, or that he apologized. She makes the rules in her little world and shakes the foundation until people comply.

5. I'm not worried about Letterman. He's more than up to dealing

with such a small minded person.

To me, she seems sort of reptilian. She's very canny, but stupid. She's willing, as you point out, to do anything that furthers her personal ambitions. Would hate to be her kids, because she's already shown she cares nothing for anyone in her way, and if that means using her own, fine.
