Joe SCAB's brilliant advice to both parties for success |
|
Edited on Fri Jun-12-09 10:21 AM by UTUSN
First, he roused me out of dozing by bellowing that the President ought to lock the Hispanic vote up for Dems forever by instantly declaring citizenship for all the Undocumenteds (he didn't use THIS word). Nobody much responded, so he kept DEMANDING it repeatedly, and YELLING it louder each time. "Why doesn't he DO IT NOW?!1 DO IT NOW!1"
The absurdity was that he and other cableheads are increasing convinced that what *they* demand on the air is supposed to be minded, it's an EDICT!1
Finally, somebody said, drily, "Why don't you write him a letter, Joe?"
So his other brilliant strategy, this time for the Rethugs, was that, since YOUNG people are socially progressive (while slightly open to other wingnut stances), the Rethugs should try to recruit the young by "lightening up on Gay marriage." So Rethugs have to profess something contrary to what they actually believe. Or rather, their core wingnuts will run out the other door while the Rethugs try to drag Youngs in one door.
It was hilarious that he and one of his idiot guests meditated on the mystery of how Shrub got so high a percent of Hispanic votes as he did. These clueless ijits don't realize that 1) a certain percentage of the Rethug Hispanic vote is from the Cuban exiles of the first generation, and that 2) border state Hispanics open to Rethugs are seduced by the familiar (to them) Texas twang (simulated) peppered by a couple of mangled words in Spanish, are familiar and comfortable with Aryan bosses. (It will be WORSE if Jeb Crow Shrub runs, because *his* Spanish is actually good.)
SCAB and his crew keep butting their heads against the walls on the conundrum that, to EXPAND their numbers, they have to OPEN their CLOSED beliefs.

1. He also kept saying he's a Libertarian on social issues, but didn't mention abortion |
|
And nobody questioned him on it. When will he pronounces himself a Libertarian on choice?
