Research 2000 Poll: Obama approval 64% (87% in NE high; 38% in South low)
This tends to back up yesterday's Fox Poll and Gallup tracking polls. 90% of Dems support Obama (compared to 92% in Fox and 8% of Dems disapprove, same as Fox.)

That's huge right there... if we own 3/4 of the "middle"... the team that flip-flops.. we're doing very well.

3. true, unfortunately I think it's that strong support of Independents that are making some dems
in the WH and congress a little too timid in confronting the GOP on some issues because they don't want to upset the middle.

4. unfortunately that seems to be the case. Why else for the huge divide compared to the
rest of the country?
