I don't need to replay the details, but I never in a billion years could imagine using these three names in the same equation.

I'd love to be able to explain away Jon Voight's comments as the product of frontaltemporal dementia, since this is not the first crazy thing the guy has said, and even his kids are terrified of him.

Reverend Wright used poor judgment, to say the least.

No excuses for James Von Brunn; his history speaks for itself.

But what a fucking horrible week it was to have these incidents and opinions in the headlines. It's just so despicable.

Every time our nation is on the verge of some sort of spiritual escalation or renewal, or worthy leap in communal consciousness, we are inevitably reminded by someone of how primitive, bigoted, petty, ignorant and hopeless we are.

Sad week. Sad week.
