Sully: "This is hearsay - but under conditions of a police state coup, we are best advised to glean what information we can, hold it provisionally, and test it as time passes."

Durr.

Yes, I wish we had direct video of Ashleigh Banfield 24-7 live in Tehran too. We don't. In the absence of she, or GOD, or someone similarly authoritative and unimpeachable, we make do with what we DO have, and note that it may need to be revised upon receiving future information (or tossed altogether, even).

Durr.

11. Any poll that touches DU, Dkos, FR, etc is tainted
They're almost as bad as online petitions that way. I do think the election was rigged, but I also think every single CNN poll is too. ;)

6. Let me guess, you think the notion the election was stolen is all a CIA plot to overthrow Iranian
Govt?

12. How would they do it?
US forces in Iraq notwithstanding, Iran's the most powerful state in the region by a considerable margin. Many of them wouldn't have the resources for any kind of subtle intervention, and anything less than subtle would be an unmitigated disaster (and galvanize the Iranians behind whoever screamed in outrage loudest).
