I am disgusted... Who Are These White Supremacists?

Dear DU:

I am watching a TV documentary called "American Nazis." It is an expose' about white supremacists in America.
My little girl... she is 8 and a half, had her first sleep over tonight - The picture below shows my daughter with her best pal.
My little girl doesn't know about the white supremacists who would want to separate her from he best girl friend... She doesn't know about the people who would tell her that her best friend is inferior ---

I would like to tell these white supremacists - GO TO HELL

3. I speak from experience...

I grew up going to a school where there were numerous black kids in my classes. It never dawned on me that there was any "difference" between us. Nobody ever said anything, not my parents, my teachers, nobody, so I just didn't think of it. Like any kid, I liked the nice kids and wasn't too fond of the mean ones, LOL. It wasn't until I saw "Eyes on the Prize" on PBS, years later, that I realized that there had been such terrible racial strife in my lifetime. I was glued to it and was totally shocked. But I thought and hoped that we were way past this at this point. I'm very shocked and saddened to learn that we're not. :-(

Seriously, there is an increasing number of frustrated people who turn to groups that make them feel empowered and who blame anyone else for their lot in life except themselves.

I suggest you take the calmative of your choice and visit the website for Stormfront to see what we are up against......it's not pretty.

Why is it whenever I see a picture of somebody touting themselves as 'white supremacists" the first thing I think is 'if they are an example of the supremacy of the white race we are all in a hell of a lot of trouble'?

7. I will say that Whites are the only ones who say N!gger

I am half white half Mexican. Most of the kids in high school (i graduated in 2005) who would use that term were hispanic kids. Andalot of black kids would call the hispanic kids those damn mexicans or wetbacks. Sometimes the only times we'd all hang out was smoking weed.Point is it aint just the Whites who are racist. Racism is a nasty problem that needs to be tackled in all ethnic groups

Reminds me when I was in kindergarten--it cost back in those days, and wasn't available at every school. There was de facto segregation, and the school I attended was in the black neighborhood, though there were a smattering of whites there as well. To make a long story short, my best friend was a black girl who had the same first name as me. She was the one who thought up calling us "Chocolate" and "Vanilla". I remember going to the amusement park with her and meeting her parents at her house, which was painted bright yellow.

You know, like the South Pacific song goes, you've got to be taught to hate and fear--and if you instead experience friendship and love, you know that hate and fear is baloney.
