And we certainly should not be tempted to believe we can know what is going on in Tehran. Just because a lot of people are in the streets doesn't mean that those people represent the majority of voters. There are some suspicious statistical trends in the data that is being presented -- such as the consistent returns from all areas. In other words, I have heard that the percentages for the various candidates are pretty much the same in all voting areas of the country. It would seem more believable that the candidates would receive significantly different percentages of the votes in pockets of the country. Of course, I have not seen the actual numbers. I base this possible criticism of the announced results on second-hand discussion of those results.

I cannot stand Ahmadinejad and after reading all weekend, I don't know what happened in Iran but I do know that the media is spinning like a top and that people aren't being critical.
