The media is working on forcing Panetta apology for speaking the truth.

3. I know!
Why do WE always have to apologize and they can call the first lady an ape and that's ok.

I believe that Republicans are wretched, we need to tell them to STFU. I am sick of anyone apologizing to these fools.

Dick Cheney's best day was September 11, 2001. He would love nothing more than to see a big-ass nuke go off in a major US city. I think he has no conscious and wants the power for the neo-cons back and feels that an attack would give them that. Bush's Presidency was already going down the tubes when 911 happened, best thing that ever happened for them. Of course he wants that back. How can anyone think otherwise? Why do we forget how Bush really got his power after steeling the 2000 election?

6. The problem is no Democrat or the media will call him out on it.
We don't use the your with us or against us meme, or you don't question the President during a time of war.

Democrats don't stoop to the level of republicans.

10. And if I were Panetta...
...or anyone speaking up on the issue for our side, I would say: where is the apology from Dick Cheney saying that our President is making this country less safe?

Fat chance that would ever happen. 'nuff said.

11. Panetta said what millions are thinking
and, as always, his statements are exaggerated by people who don't understand nuance. He was responding to Cheney's speech that morning when Cheney said this administration had made America less safe.
What truly angers me is how Cheney and his daughter have appeared numerous times on national televisionw without truly being questioned. Cheney was appointed by Bush to lead the anti-terrorism task force PRIOR to 9-11. He was too busy with Ken Lay of Enron and at least a dozen meeting in the WH to hold even ONE meeting. How was he keeping us safe?
Immediately following 9-11, the Bush administration, despite requests from the CIA for interviews, flew members of Bin Laden's family and other Saudis, out of the country. (Meanwhile, my husband, and thousands of other Americans, were stranded in cities because the airports were closed). How was denying the CIA their requests for interviews of the Saudis keeping Americans safe?
Dick and Liz Cheney have not been held accountable.
The media is letting us down. Again.
