CNBC’s Erin Burnett In Hot Water Again For Comparing Iranian Election To EFCA
CNBC’s Erin Burnett emerged earlier this year as one of the left’s favorite pummeling dummies, as the economic crisis prompted liberals to begin targeting financial journalists for their too-soft coverage of Wall Street transgressions.

In February, after she was pilloried by liberals as “an apologist for Wall Street’s worst practices” Burnett was forced to respond.

Now Burnett suddenly seems to be in the soup again — this time for comparing the Iranian elections to what would happen under the Employee Free Choice Act — and she’s getting bombarded by a plague of angry emails, courtesy of the SEIU.

Burnett asked whether the situation in Iran “makes a strong point for this whole union conversation that we’re having in this country?” The point being, of course, that EFCA’s supposed elimination of the “secret ballot” for joining unions would be analogous to Iran.

Around an hour ago, SEIU blasted out a demand that members bombard Burnett with email pilloring her “irresponsible journalism” and “reckless reporting.” SEIU claims that more than 4,000 emails have rained down upon Burnett in that time.

1. "this whole union conversation"
She has no sense of how many people have died throughout history because of "this whole union conversation". Or no empathy for that fact.

2. Her background suggests that she's a pampered spoiled brat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erin_Burnett

and the prep school she went to boast a $40,000 a year tuition.

I went to college with a lot of these types. Even among those who are on the left politically, it's more of the limousine liberal variety.

13. I'd figure that after all that "expensive fancy school learnin'" she'd be able to
come up with a half way decent analogy. What a waste.

16. The college she went to costs that much also.
Total blueblood all the way. She wouldn't know hardship if it spilled her $30 morning coffee.

4. She's hung around the moneyed folks so much she forgets theres a world
....outside the NYSE floor where people actually have to work for a living instead of lying and thievery as a way of life.

5. Aren't there enough qualified up-and-comers to replace her?
Why do they stick with inadequate "news" people like Burnett? It's a mystery to me.

6. All of Erin's political comments are idiotic. Not just conservative but moronic.
That's why I think she does this on purpose. They make her say inflammatory things to get more people to tune into the drama.

No one could possibly be as stupid as she pretends to be.

8. She's a tool, plain and simple.
And she is an agent of the dark side--an excellent tool for them.

9. I am still pissed off about her comment that we should we be thankful for tainted Chinese imports
because they are so inexpensive.

"A lot of people like to say, uh, scaremonger about China, right? A lot of politicians, and I know you talk about that issue all the time. I think people should be careful what they wish for on China. Ya know, if China were to revalue it's currency or China is to start making say, toys that don't have lead in them or food that isn't poisonous, their costs of production are going to go up and that means prices at Wal-Mart here in the United States are going to go up too. So, I would say China is our greatest friend right now, they're keeping prices low and they're keeping the prices for mortgages low, too."

She is very high on my list of TV talkng heads that I cannot stomach. She tries to sound so smart and genius in her commentary but it is simply idiotic tripe.

10. Yes, good products are more expensive that ones that might kill you.
That's quite possibly one of the top ten stupidest things I've heard from a news clown, this year anyway.

14. Talk about your classic complete wastes of good looks.
Reminds me of the episode of "That 70s Show", where Eric is wondering why Hyde puts up with Jackie and Hyde says:

"Ok, picture Jackie in a coconut bikini on an island." It then shows Jackie, with bikini, being her usual princessy, insulting self.

"Yeah? Now do what I do . . ." It then shows the same scene, only Jackie's voice is muted. Forman's like "Oh God, she IS kind of hot!"

I mean, it's obvious Erin Baby hangs with money and buys into the whole hyper-capitalist free market crapola. I think the luxury for her here is that she's on a channel that will never have a guest calling her out on her bias.

15. Didn't someone at DU post an interview of her a year or two back, where she
described all of the things required in her "ideal man", and literally every one of those things involved the guy being willing/able to spend ridiculous amounts of money upon her?
