South Carolina State senator compares Iran protestors to teabaggers
:eyes:

from ThinkProgress:

SC state senator compares Iranian protests to right-wing tea parties.

South Carolina State Sen. David Thomas (R) is a prolific Twitter user. In recent days, he’s been giving his thoughts on the situation in Iran, sarcastically writing, “Just watched on Fox: Iran Clerics decare Iran election was legit. Glad that’s finally cleared up.” Two of his tweets also applauded the protests, comparing them to the right-wing tea parties in the United States: http://thinkprogress.org/2009/06/19/iran-tea-parties/

2. He should go over and join in with the protesters
If the Ayatollah didn't kill him the protesters would.

3. The Repubs are such drama queens. Sheesh. The teabaggers were few and
far between, not to mention they hardly risked anything by gathering and whining.

4. He wishes the tea parties were as big and relevant as the Iranian protests.
There's a huge difference between hundreds of thousands of people putting their lives in danger protesting a rigged election and a handful of bigots spouting off in ignorance and turning out because Hannity told them to.

5. Actually, tea-bagging is illegal in Iran.
It violates their decency laws.

7. if the Iranian protestors were right-wing conservative fundamentalist religious fanatics ...
protesting someone with knowledge being elected President, then I'd say, yes, they're like the teabaggers ...
