It does take a little bit of computer geekery to figure it out - you have to have at least a vague idea of how to configure SQUID or a similar web proxy - including configuring it for different ports & such, setting ACLs (access control lists) and such so the Iranian government can't suss you out easily, and of course, you have to know how to configure your firewall and your router so as to open appropriate ports and shut everything else out.
