The people who lose to Ben Stein must be total morans... |

How the fuck can you be outsmarted by a guy who believes the world is 6000 years old, that evolution is a lie, that wise and decent people appear on the Family Research Council's website, and that the Nixon resignation was worth crying like Marian Hossa over?

Unfortunately, Godsby was with the Penguin Tribe and the prayers of Red Wings fans fell upon deaf ears.

4. Ben Stein doesn't believe that shit. He just PRETENDS to believe it. |
|
Because he's a boot-licking bully that wants to suck-up to the chrisTo-fascists that pull the strings.

5. Ben Stein knows his trivia. The man got a good education, and unlike chimpboy he paid attention. |

8. I used to "play along at home" |

To "win Ben Stein's money" and it was a draw... Ben beating me as often as I beat Ben.
Ben is actually quite bright. I have no idea how he believes half of what he says he believes in, but it's not a lack of either intelligence or knowledge on a wide range of subjects. He knows quite a bit of world (western) history and geography. I usually did better than him in science... but not always.
BTW, my IQ is north of 160.

But knowing more about him and about American politics than I do now, it makes me feel so inadequate...

Very bright. One of the few hard core wingers that is...
I have no idea what warped his thinking. It's one of those things. When he did his movie about evolution (which I didn't watch), I was always thinking "how can Ben Stein believe this crap... he is as smart or smarter than ME. It's so obvious."
Kinda of shakes one's belief in themselves.

11. Yeah, well I was on that show & tied him & won his money. He was quite nice. |

Kimmel was a prick.
That show's been off the air for about 5 years now. Maybe you should update your pop culture refrences. Just a thought.

15. However, you were one of a few that did. |

Congratulations. I probably watched you win. I liked the show because the questions were hard.
I couldn't watch "Who wants to be a millionaire" because very few contestants ever got to a round where the questions were hard. The IRS guy that won the million without ever using a lifeline impressed me... mostly because *I* got the last two questions wrong. He didn't even break into a sweat.
But that was rare. Just like people beating Ben Stein.
Doesn't surprise me that Kimmel was a prick. He gave off that vibe.
What year did you win?
