Dearest,

You are glorious and I hope you really understand that. You do not need a therapist to help you figure your place in the world. You are special and unique and fabulous in a whole host of ways that are worth a much longer conversation. To be continued ...

Have been having a few email problems as I am getting email through an aircard at the farm, where access to computer world is more than tough. Please let me know if you have gotten my last two eamils (sic) so I know it is working in getting to your part of the world ...

Another glorious day outside. Hope you are doing well, and am anxious to hear about your week. Know that I miss you. Unbeleivably (sic) hard to imagine it has been a week. Please also send your mailing address as I want to send you an insignificant something next week when I am back in civilization that I think you might find interesting given our conversation.

Want to write an indepth note with some thoughts on our visit when I know you are getting these emails. Hugs and much love. M

(end snip)

4. I wonder if the Bush administration's "ears and eyes" were also
reading these emails. I imagine they were keeping an eye on the governors, too.

5. Frankly, as much as I enjoy the deflation
of the GOP hypocrites one by one, the thought has occurred: when all the sexual transgressions have been revealed, will Jeb Bush be the only one left standing? (Shudder)

17. Yeah, I was suspicious of this too, until I read their explanation.
The editor said they were sent to the paper anonymously.

All they had to go on was the email address they were sent from and the mistresses email address that was included.

They contacted both and heard nothing back.

They had heard rumors of troubles in the Sanford marriage and hung on to them for a later time.

This explanation might not satisfy many DUers or the blogosphere, but it's good old-fashioned journalism. Keep your cards close to your chest and don't run with a story until you can confirm it independently.

Some may cry here, "Why didn't they call the Governor's office and ask about it???"

Well, like I said above, keep your cards hidden. Calling the Guv's office would have only been met with a denial and then they would know what the paper had.

So, I agree with what they did. It's journalism 101 and a main reason why I'm sad the newspaper is going the way of the dinosaur --- we will lose this kind of old timey experience and acumen.

18. Thank you for the explanation
I agree with you, that was good journalism. I wonder if it was the wife that sent the emails.

12. Her full name has been published in the Buenos Aires papers
it's Maria Belen Chapur. She works for Bunge, which I think is a US agricultural company based in St Louis.

14. He quoted Scriptures to her!
"I looked to where I often look for advice and counsel, and in I Corinthians 13 it simply says that, “ Love is patient and kind, love is not jealous or boastful, it is not arrogant or rude, Love does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in the wrong, but rejoices in the right, Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things”."

16. These sound like they're pre that 'spark' thing
I see nothing incriminating in this particular email. But I didn't click on the link because my curiosity isn't that great. I'm much more interested in his karmic adjustment.
