Just checked an airline that flies to Buenos Aires re ticket cost
$411.88 RT out of Miami International Airport, which is where I suspect he flew out of, with connecting flight to/from Atlanta.

That's not bad considering he got 5 days, give or take some hours spent getting down there. Mebbe the cost of a cab to/from the airport if his lovey didn't want to be seen picking him up.

Not too bad a tab for a few exciting, exotic days in the sack with a sexy mistress whose tan lines drive you nuts...

1. Probably Miami...American Airlines uses that as a hub for all its
central and south american flights...pretty much has the US market captured there.

Sexy mistress? IS she? I haven't seen photos. What if she's a "motherly" type...that would be amusing.

7. The airline I checked was LAN
It's used by tour operators in South America. I was contemplating taking a tour of the Patagonian wilderness, with some time spent in Santiago and Valparaiso Chile and Buenos Aires. The pics of the wilderness are beautiful and I really, really want to go but I can't get anyone to go with me, unfortunately...

5. Atlanta has direct flights. I doubt the governor had a layover
(at least until he got to Buenos Aires).

8. That wouldn't have been a layover anyway.
Would've been a leg over.

9. American
I live in BsAs, and am going to LA on 7/1 to attend my niece´s wedding. On American Airlines. Cost of the ticket is $570, which (according to the e-ticket) includes $180 of taxes, tariffs and airport charges. Not too bad. The odd thing is is that when I researched this ticket on Despegar.com, this $570 fee was also offered by many other carriers as well. Things must be tough in the airline industry.

11. Try $1798 each way with US Airways 'walkup' last minute ticket purchase ... LINK
That means he paid a premium for a 'walkup' last minute ticket purchase, and paid a 'change' premium to return at a different airport. A US Airways ticket on Orbitz shows that the cost would be $1798 EACH WAY + Change Premium, for a total of over $3200.00.

15. It costs me $930 RT last October.
That was direct from Dulles. Right now, it's winter down there. Though I didn't have a mistress. Though if I had more time I probably could've found one. The Argentine chicas fancied me.
