It's been a tremendously tough month as far as celebrity deaths are concerned. First David Carradine, then Ed McMannon, then Farrah, then Michael Jackson, then TV pitchman Billy Mays (to a lesser celeb extent).

They're falling fast friends, who's next to go?

I'm going with the following:

I think Patrick Swayze goes next, immediately followed by Walter Cronkite based on the latest health update that I've heard on each.

Curtis was absolutely the best in "The Sweet Smell of Success" where he played himself essentially. Then he got sucked into all those ridiculous "Yonder is the castle of my fodder" type movies that made him a laughing stock...
