i just downloaded randi's show from this afternoon and it's pretty funny--she's dripping with sarcasm (as if she was a michael jackson groupie) and these callers are phoning her, agreeing, etc.
and it's *all* *about* *michael*
her show is a parody on all this media coverage.
she played a clip of mitch mcconnell from a weekend show saying congress has work to do for the american people. after the clip randi says:
"you know, he didn't even ask him what his favorite michael jackson song is. i'm sorry but that's not news--it's not! and you know, he won't answer any question anyway. i bet if they asked him, if they had done the hard work, if they had grilled down, if they had probed, if they had gotten in there, if they really/really/really tried--they could have asked the question:
WHAT, PASTY WHITE SENATOR MCCONNELL FROM KENTUCKY, IS YOUR FAVORITE MICHAEL JACKSON SONG? WHAT'S THE FIRST SONG YOU EVER REMEMBER DANCING LIKE A DANCING MACHINE TO? WHAT IS IT? WHEN DO YOU REMEMBER HEARING IT? WHERE WERE YOU? WHO WERE YOU WITH? WHAT'S THE MEMORY? because you know how music is? you remember everything including what you were wearing and who you were with and the mood of the day and whether it was the front seat of the car or the back seat of the car--that's what music can do
AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN ASK HIM WHAT HIS FAVORITE MICHAEL JACKSON SONG WAS! and knowing that bastard he would have just said: "you know, we got work to do in the senate--we got healthcare...and we got immigration...and we got supreme court justices."
"oh! who cares??? if i want that i can read a newspaper!!! when you're on the TV i want to know where you were for your first michael jackson song!!!"
