George Pipas, Ford’s sales analysis manager, tells the paper that the month of June will not be as good as sales a year ago but that the automaker would see the smallest decline since October, when the credit market collapsed.

“The worst is behind us,” Pipas said. “We may see economic growth in the second half and a higher level of auto sales.”

Slowly, but surely, we're pulling out of the Great Bush Recession.

1. I saw the new 2010 Ford Taurus SHO at a car show this weekend.

I got to sit in it, and I have to say it's an AWESOME car. Ford is going to sell a ton of them. They look very expensive, certainly more expensive than they are, the interiors are well laid out, with easy to reach controls, and the quality and fit was as good as I've seen anywhere.

It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't the #1 selling car in America.

2. Ha!
Tell that to the state governments of Arizona, California, Indiana, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado and etc.

The sorry truth is that the 'Reagan-Bush Slump' is deepening ... in spite of all the "green shoots" spin coming out of CNBC.

3. True... some states will take longer to recover....

You can't turn around a $35 trillion economy is a few months.... but it is starting to turn....

...and the right people are in place in Washington now to make it happen.

By 2012, we'll be talking about the "Obama Miracle"... when it really was just sound policy finally being enacted.

4. Being the One That's Not Bankrupt is a Selling Point These Days
If you want to buy a car from an American company that's not bankrupt (and you can't afford a Tesla), Ford is the only game in town.
