*****Arizona DUers, call Gov. Brewer and ask her to veto the budget!**** |
|
A horrible flat tax that will COST the state $450B when we are in a $3-4B hole, tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations, a property tax restructuring that will lower business property taxes while raising homeowners'. Cuts to education, health care, and social services. The sales tax increase initiative is in jeopardy of being killed (granted it sucked because it's regressive but it was the ONLY revenue we were going to be taking IN and not bleeding out) so it might not be in the budget. This will put us further in the hole and endanger our federal funding. To add insult to injury, there is a bill in it to require teachers to pay the substitute if they use one of their own leave days to lobby at the Legislature. This state is run by IDIOTS! This is literally the craziest and dumbest state in the union, bar none. We're not just the lowest in ed. funding in all 50 states we are below GUAM!
Call the Governor at 1-800-253-0883 or 602-542-4331 and say that she should not sign the budget. I know she's a Republican but she needs to hear from as many people as possible. Thanks and please everybody keep this kicked even if you aren't from AZ. Children, the disabled, the elderly will all suffer if this budget passes.

And the state is only run by idiots because their fellow idiots keep electing them into office.
The legislature is only part of the problem, the other part are those dumber then a bag of hammers voters who keep voting for the same clowns every time!!!

Don't know their asses from a hole in the ground, politically. I've never seen such self-absorbed oblivious voters in my life. I'm at the legislature right now with a bunch of teachers, some of whom have been laid off or are facing it. Good on them for being down here but some of them I'm talking to are Republicans who vote R all the way down the ballot every time and had "no idea they were so crazy!" If these voters don't pay attention now I'm getting the hell out of this state as soon as I can.
