Most people do not realize the prejudices within the wealthy. In Palm Beach, for example, there are marked differences as to who socializes with whom. 118. I really like MV. My first trip was in July, 1999. It was the weekend JFK, Jr.'s plane

was lost trying to get to the island. I remember getting up early with my baby granddaughter to feed her breakfast. We heard a helicopter overhead and I picked her up to take her outside to see it. I remember it being a funny orange color, which I learned later was Coast Guard. Later we heard that luggage had washed ashore over at Menemsha. I was not keen on getting into the water at that point...

We weren't there when John's plane went down, but we went shortly after to the Cape and everyone was so sad.

Other places I like are the drive-in on Wellfleet (kids love the place) and Provincetown is always a blast. Sandwich at the entrance of the Cape is also one of my favorite spots to go. There's an old mill with a spring where people take their gallon jugs and fill them with the most delicious cool water. The Sandwich Glass Museum is worth visiting and so is the Thorton W Burgess Museum (he created Peter Rabbit). Across from the Burgess museum is a great place to have high tea (at least I hope that it's still there).

Ahhhh, I'm going to have to drive up to the Cape this summer. I feel nostalgic.

They live in Sherborn (my son in law is a political consultant at the Kennedy School). they go the Cape as well as MV in the summer. But I think as the kids get older they want to expand horizons. He is entering kindergarten in a PUBLIC school there that offers a dual immersion language class in Italian! It is 90:10 ratio of class conducted in Italian/English. He has no Italian, but has Italian heritage on his father's side. The class is made up of 20% bilingual students and the rest monolingual in English only. This school started a program last year in German and is expanding it to Italian and Spanish come this fall. Another school in Glendale is offering Korean.
