God, my eyes are fucking bleeding from all these absurd house threads. I can see points on both sides of the issue, but with the Libby trial, the protest march, Iran, the Iraq surge and everything else, the big issue DUers on BOTH sides want to debate endlessly and with an astonishing amount of vitriol is Edwards fucking McMansion???

I used to think that DUers were wiser than the average person about what's really going on in this country, what needs to be done to fix it, and what qualities should be looked for in chosing the right leader for this country, but after this clusterfuck I'm beginning to think that most people here are just shallow, crass and more interested in winning an argument on ANYTHING rather than truly giving a shit about what really MATTERS. And NO, it is NOT a rash of "trolls" or "paid operatives of Campaign X" or "paid operatives of the GOP" or "newbies", it's mostly the same people that have been posting extensively here for years who I had come to respect.

This country is teetering on the edge of a FUCKING CLIFF, yet the biggest lustiest "discussion" going on here is Edwards' fucking house.

and thanks for the compliments, wish I had time to make more flash work, but I'm on the EDGE of finishing a book I've been writing for FIVE years, and hopefully about something more important :)

Watch for it, when I announce it here. I'm going to save ANWR (Alaska National Wildlife Reserve) - I spent two summers up there prospecting for Uranium by Helicopter, chased by bears, tons of stories in the book, but the best is when we saw a MILLION caribou covering the Planet from Horizon to Horizon in all directions at 3000 feet going over 100 miles an hour. It was a spiritual epiphany, and I want to share it with the whole world.

I saw the entire earth ALIVE.

And with this book I plan to Keep it that way :)
