Republicans Resist Justice Interrogation Probe - AP
<snip>

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two leading Republican senators say a criminal investigation into the Bush administration's harsh intelligence practices would make the CIA a boogeyman.

Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire says Democrats' efforts to review President George W. Bush's practices would harm the United States in the long run. He says the country is fighting a "war of intelligence" that would be damaged if the tactics were disclosed.

Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee says that if Attorney General Eric Holder decides to appoint a prosecutor to probe Bush-era decisions, he should go farther back. Alexander says the investigation should go back into the 1990s, when Holder was a senior Justice Department official under President Bill Clinton.

The pair appeared on CNN's "State of the Union."

Unfortunately... it's not just Republicans who are resisting.

1. Had it been a Democratic President lying about a blowjob....
they'd be falling all over themselves to get in front of a camera to demand Investigations! Justice! Impeachment!

When it's a Republican President lying about elective wars, illegal domestic surveillance, rogue assassination squads, bankrupting the Treasury, no bid contracts to former employers - what's the problem?

Hypocrites, every last one of them.

Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who ..."

2. A war of intelligence?
Not funding no child left behind.
Setting up standardized tests
lowering funding for public schools.

Crack epidemic in the inner cities
Lead paint on toys
Poison in housing wallboard
Formaldehyde in trailers for Katrina victims
Medication for children, Ritalin if they have an imagination.
Medication for adults, antidepressants if they begin to question the justice of society

Managed news that talks about something new every day without context.
Hyping superficial stories.
Consolidated media ownership.
Lack of perspective in soundbites on media.

People paid to put propaganda or false stories on the Internet. (happened in 2004 election also)
Smears as campaign ads with no thought of what is true or relevant
Advertising Twitter and its out of context 140 words.

Luckily there are journalist, workers, statesman, thinkers, theologians, teachers and students, and many other citizens learning and thinking, waking up from the sleep.

5. Yep! Took the words right out of my mouth.

Ah, the dreaded Clenis strikes again. There's no reason to stop at Clinton. Go back to when Poppy ran it, and then keep going back--WAY back to when it started. That I'd love to see.
