Rush and Palin (a tragic love story) |
|
Hey, I want to put on my tinfoil hat here. Is it just a coincidence that Palin holds her rambling resignation "quitter/fighter" speech, and then Rush goes "out-of-pocket" for the entire week...only to re-emerge as Sarah is making her declaration to "build a right-of-center coalition" party across Murika????
Things that make you go Hmmmmmmmm.
Wouldn't it be delicious if Rush and Palin teamed up to start their own "wingnut party"?
"WASHINGTON (July 12) – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she's not only staying involved in national politics, but she plans to jump back into the national scrum when she leaves office at the end of the month.
The former Republican vice presidential nominee said she plans to write a book, campaign for political candidates from coast to coast — even Democrats who share her views on limited government, national defense and energy independence — and build a right-of-center coalition."
Can we have a DU contest to name the new Palin/Rush party???
here are some of mine:
"The Waders and Haters Party"
"The Dead Fish" (also would be a great name for a rock band)
"Screamers and Reamers Party"
"The Lipstick and a Pig" Party
We could really have fun with this!

I really doubt that Rush would support a 3rd party |
|
He may be an idiot, but he's fairly politically savvy about the political process. He knows that a 3rd party will get instantly marginalized like with Ron Paul and the Libertarian party. And of course, splitting the vote of a now ailing conservative movement would be the death of RW power for decades.
Besides, Rush is at the top of the Republican food chain right now. There's NO WAY he's giving up that kind of power for Sarah Palin.
Yes, I know, he championed her when almost no one had even heard about her, but Rush can read poll numbers. And he knows deep down that she's going nowhere politically.
The ONLY chance this 3rd party thing might get off the ground is if a BIG name like Gingrich or Kristol or McCain signed on. And that ain't happening.
