Recommend if you think the Sotomayor hearings are nothing but grandstanding bullshit. |
|
Congress needs to cut the long-winded soapbox crap, get this over with, confirm her, and get back to fixing the economy. This is nothing but a platform for gas bags.

1. Scads of taurine metabolic byproducts. |
|
Truckloads of it to be exact. The hot air emanating from these clowns would probably generate about 500 megawatts of power if they were hooked to a turbine generator.

3. Sorry, I don't do Rec requests. If your thread merits them, it will get them. |
|
You shouldn't have to ask for them.
All Supreme Court nomination hearings are nothing but grandstanding bullshit. Always have been, always will be, even by our side.

6. Sessions may well be a convinced racist, but I bet almost all other Senate Republicans... |
|
are just grandstanding to please "the base," which largely consists of cranky to racist whites seething with social-cultural backlash issues. Most top Republicans are motivated by devotion to plutocracy and racial issues are very much on the back burner. I'm sure a lot of Senate Republicans will end up voting for Sotomayor because they perceive her as pro-business.

8. It is nothing but overpaid narcissistic old men - occasionally women- |
|
indulging their egos. They KNOW she will be seated on the court - even the current Republcans are not stupid enough to seriously try to keep her out, and they haven't the powqer to do so anyway.
She will be the ONLY SC Justice with trial experience, and is better qualified than ANY other current justice was at their confirmation.
She deserves the job just for sitting through all the horrible bullshit today.

11. I agree. A forum for a bunch of Prima Donnas and Divas |

to fawn over their own silly and meaningless comments.
Sonia Sotomayor is smarter than all of them put together, especially the frustrated Confederate contingency.
