Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) expressed shock at former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s testimony Thursday before a House panel probing possible improprieties tied to the takeover of Bank of America.

Appearing on CNBC’s The Call, Kucinich was highly critical of Paulson’s interpretation of events that involved Bank of America CEO Kenneth Lewis.

“Why wouldn’t Secretary Paulson take action to remove management and Mr. Lewis if he knew, and apparently he did know, that Merrill Lynch had all these losses and that Bank of America didn’t inform shareholders?” said Kucinich.

9. That's f ine by me. He's been the greatest Democrat
for the past eight years, consistently speaking out when necessary, targeted by those with a vested interest in hiding the truth from American people, he's been proven to be right over and over again.

When he ran for president in 2004, before the message went out that he was a threat to corruption, he was the most popular candidate for president among Democrats in all of the online polls. By far! Then, the media shut him out and the smearing began and hasn't stopped since. The saddest part was that so-called Democrats, on Democratic sites spread the smears, joining with the right who after a while, simply left it to his own party to try to undermine him.

I despise those who went after him because he was right and they contributed to the failure to stop the war, to expose the war crimes and to save the economy. They can call themselves Democrats, but anyone who went after Dennis Kucinich is no Democrat imho.

3. This is so good.
Notice the silence and discomfort near the end? She scrambled to get on to something else, while Larry looked so defeated. And all this from a small package of dynamite, with the truth on his side. Dennis is probably my favorite pol right now. And Russ Feingold too.

4. I'm glad to know that DK is on the job.

“You have a signal being sent to Wall Street that if there’s potential misdeeds, you can still stay in the game,” Kucinich continued. “That creates a moral hazard.”

Hosts Trish Regan and Larry Kudlow took issue with Kucinich’s zeroing in on Paulson, with both suggesting Lewis was more to blame.

Kudlow shouted at the two-time former presidential candidate over inconsistencies in his assessment of the situation, saying, “None of this makes any sense to the viewer, to investors, whatsoever!”

Kucinich countered, “We have to have the ability to tell shareholders that things are legit, and they weren’t legit for the shareholders of Bank of America.”
