if workers get to the point of threatening violence...
...and lose personal freedom, plant and factory, perspective of life and crumbles of dreams - what the hell is happening to leftist parties and unions, where's their power of representation, their fight for social justice?

i just posted an update on the french workers who threatened to explode gas canisters at their plant.
find it here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x3973924

so i do not go to the news details. just a comment.

"The BBC's Emma Jane Kirby in Paris says there is an acute sense of injustice in France at the moment, with many workers complaining that while their bosses continue to reap company benefits and bonuses, they are paying for this economic crisis with their jobs."
(bbc: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8156329.stm )

this is the point, and The Economist had seen it already some years ago. i remember the article though i can't find it anymore.
this economic crisis is unjust and not equal in proportion, and though it is in the nature of the market that workers are always going to pay the highest price in every crisis - this recessive one, in particular, shows a face that is really hateful.

because it is really hateful when u get fired from your jobplace while the managers get out of the wrecking ship with pocketful of gold.

so though i am against violence in general - still, i'm 100% with these workers. emotionally, i'm one of them.

ciao DUers.
