The entire article is woefully conditional.

It would be nice to see, though. I doubt it would be televised, if it ever happened, they'd probably do it at the committee or subcommittee level in closed session, if at all, owing to the classified nature of the conversations.

appointed by Congress to investigate what happened when we invaded Iraq? The badly-named "Iraq Study Group"?

When Cheney and Fuckface went to testify there, they went together, and refused to testify under oath. They - as Fuckface put it - had "a visit" with the Group.

Oaths are sticky things.

I still can't believe that group let those two pricks get away with that. It still gnaws at me .........................

is shaping up to be, I'd rather see Cheney hauled in front of Congress.

And I truly believe that the precedent that would be set by letting Bushco get by with their crimes would be far more harmful to the future of the country than waiting a while longer for actual access to a health care (not insurance) system.

America is bracing itself for a series of investigations that could see top officials from the administration of President George W Bush hauled in front of Congress, grilled by a special prosecutor and possibly facing criminal charges.

The Guardian sounds more optimistic about this than I am, I'm hoping someone on their staff knows more than I do about the odds of this happening. I've been disappointed so many times about this sort of thing, I'm just afraid to get my hopes up.)
