4. Monday's news
BAGHDAD — Tens of thousands of Shiites _ a sea of women in black abayas and men waving Iraqi flags _ rallied Monday to demand that U.S. forces leave their country. Some ripped apart American flags and tromped across a Stars and Stripes rug.

3. It's called divide and conquer...
turn loose a bunch of seemingly inconsequential 'stories' to dilute what is going on with the crooks in the WH.

And yes, the Iraq demonstration was something wasn't it? Funny, but I didn't see any flowers being handed to anyone - did I miss it? That demonstration is scary as hell as it tells me need to get out NOW while the gettin' is good.

11. Yes I read that a little bit ago.
I hope it is not just him but the two other recess appointments the blivet made last week. You know the two the flew under the radar while this one became the talk of the town.

9. Congress is in recess, * is on vaction,
and today's violence in Iraq is scattered among 2 dozen small
incidents that don't generate MSM headlines.

12. Don't forget today's shootings - Detroit.
Not that it's not tragic, but - well, that seems to be what "news" is all about these days.

17. Hell, I live in the Detroit area
and shootings are NOT news anymore there. What made this news is that some guy went 'postal' and shot up the place that laid him off.

13. Breaking News isn't what it used to be.
I used to really anticipate what was going to be said when I would hear the theme music and the announcer saying "THIS IS CNN, BREAKING NEWS!"

16. Me too.
I even remember the alarm I used to feel with CBS or NBC would break in with their bulletins - it was always something truly monumental. Now it's like, "Wow, look at the big fire! All the pretty colors!"

Ugh.
