Sanford Visits Upstate For First Time Since Admitting Affair
Governor To Discuss Real ID Law

GREER, S.C. -- Gov. Mark Sanford is set to make his first public appearance since saying his Argentine mistress was his "soul mate."

The Republican governor’s office said Sanford will be at the Department of Motor Vehicle's office in Greer on Tuesday afternoon to talk about the federal law that requires states to issue driver's licenses that meet new security mandates.

Also on Tuesday, Sanford will hold his first series of his “Open Door After 4” meetings in Columbia since his admission.

During these meetings, Sanford invites anyone to come to his office and talk to him about anything for five minutes. To sign up for a meeting call the Governor’s Office after 9 a.m. at 803-734-1999.
